Tight At The Top Of Round 5 In The Orient Travel Monthly Medal

This weekend saw round five of the Orient Travel Monthly Medal & the Tourism Authority of Thailand Net & Gross Order of Merit Supported by Emirates. It was tight at the top as three of the big names at SGSC had equaling scores of 73, one over par. Hassan Yazdi, Richard Mason & Young Duk Kim had to rely on a scorecard playoff in order to take the top spot. From the three, Hassan was victorious with a 2 under par back nine total, with two Birdies & a net Eagle on the back nine of the scorecard, Hassan finished strong to take the months title. Richard took second place with a one under par back nine, leaving Young Duk Kim with third place.
The Divisional prizes of the Monthly Medal saw Adam Smith take home the spoils for Division A with a round of three over Par 76. In Division B Rene Sarmiento collected the voucher on a Net score of 75. Finally in the Gross Division Nathan Fisher collected the best Gross prize on a very steady score of 72, level par. whilst Tim Collins collected the gross runner-up prize as he posted a score of 79.
The Order of Merit sets up to be a highly competitive one this year with some of the biggest names at SGSC getting off to a fantastic start. It will run throughout the season & conclude on Friday 27th April 2018.
