Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club’s Silver member Rory Thomson, returned 37 stableford points to claim the August edition of the Orient Travel – Tourism of Authority of Thailand Monthly Stableford held on Friday 31st August. Following him was Roger Corpuz with 36 points in the runner up position, who’s joined the club as summer member and has been actively participating in the club events. Ravi AE also on 36 points was very close on grabbing the 2nd position but had to settle with third prize as he lost on count back with Roger. Division A winner was a junior member Xu Zi Ang and Division B winner was Mohan GC, both had 34 points. Namir Al Naimi won the Best Gross Division with 29 gross stableford points.
Running parallel to the 4 summer Orient Travel – Tourism of Authority of Thailand Monthly Stableford events is the Order of Merit with the 2 leading net and 1 leading gross scores representing Sharjah Golf & Shooting Club in the RAK Challenge Tour Pro Am event on 30th October. With just one more round to be played on 7th September, Ben Mulvaney is still leading the both net and gross categories, he’s been trying his best to hold his position whilst others are trying to climb the ranking. Following, Ben in Net category are SS Son, Rory Thomson & Sanjoy Das and in Gross category are Zu Xi Ang, SS Son & Zi Hao Su.
