International Open Delight For Young Duk Kim

The 6th International Open Golf Championship supported by Western Union and hosted by Ramli Sulaiman was held at Sharjah Golf & Shooting Club on Saturday 15th of September. The course was set up in true Championship fashion and provided a fantastic challenge for the day’s competitors. The Open saw silver club member Young Duk Kim come to the stage at the end of the days play after pipping Thomas Murdoch on countback. Mr Kim is looking forward to the season getting under way as currently in a rich vein of form.
Best Gross on the day was won by William Ang the youngster posted an impressive 34 points. Other winners on the day included Kerry Smeda (Zimbabwe) as she won the Africa & Middle East Division. Michael Connelly (Ireland) was successful in the European division taking first place. Mohan Chibambaram (india) topped the Asian Division with a notable 35 points & Pat Green (American) took home the title in the America & Australasian Division, to top off a great days play Misbah Ahmed took home the unofficial handicap prize, this is a new division added to a SGSC event, that will be added to all of our events.
