Tuesday at Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club saw a strong field compete for the prizes put up by Centro Hotel Sharjah in the midweek event. Competitors played a strokeplay medal from the challenging blue tees and the scores reflected this as only a handful played to their handicaps. The Unitechnik monthly Stableford was competed for on Saturday and it was SGSC member Cpt Zein Ismail who was the man on form to claim the title. Zein had a near perfect round of golf which included two net eagles to claim victory by an impressive four points on a score of forty one stableford points. The BMW Series Open Social was held at SGSC on the 4th of October. Competitors faced a format of shambles for the front nine and a Texas Scramble format for the back nine. Recording one of the best scores ever in the event and winning the BMW open social title were past SGSC captains Mukti Rai and Vivian Verma.
