The curtain came down on the final edition of the Dimos Monthly Stableford Series on Sunday, May 25th, at Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club, and what a finale it was. With a record-breaking turnout, members arrived in full force, eager to battle it out for the last shot at the impressive prizes generously provided by our loyal sponsors.
Amidst the spirited competition, it was Syed Maqsood who emerged as the undisputed star of the day. Delivering a phenomenal performance, Syed racked up an astonishing 45 Stableford points thanks in large part to an incredible tally of 11 net birdies. His dominant round earned him a three-point lead over the field and capped off what was undeniably his round of the season. Syed was all smiles as he accepted the prestigious DIMOS Commemorative Trophy and a AED 300 Pro Shop Voucher. Grateful for the continued sponsor support, he praised the event and the prizes that made the day even more memorable.
In Division A, Connor Freeman delivered a rock-solid 41-point round to top the leaderboard in his category. His consistency and composure earned him a well deserved AED 200 Pro Shop Voucher.
Over in Division B, Jalal Abbasi came close to clinching the overall title with an excellent 42 points, securing his division’s top honour and a AED 200 Pro Shop Voucher in the process.
Meanwhile, the DIMOS Gross Prize went to SGSC’s scratch league captain, Sami Butt. Playing with characteristic precision, Sami carded a gross 39 points to claim the title and a AED 150 Pro Shop Voucher.
With standout performances across the board and a strong turnout, the final Dimos event of the season wrapped up in style setting the bar high for next season.
