Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club hosted the highly anticipated sixth edition of the Fursa Consulting Red Tee Four Club Challenge on Sunday, May 11th. A popular fixture on the club’s annual calendar, the event drew both members and guests, thanks to its unique format and generous prizes.
The standout performance of the day came from Dhruv Nair, who delivered a spectacular round of golf, carding a gross score of three-under-par 69, resulting in a net 65 and a well-earned victory. His exceptional round featured seven birdies and an eagle, an impressive feat considering players were limited to using only three clubs and a putter. His performance prompted playful speculation about whether fewer clubs might be the secret to success.
Competition was fierce, with Shoab Khan finishing runner-up with a net 66 – a score that would typically be good enough to win. Also on 66, Irfan Izhar secured third place, while Club Captain Shaheen Butt finished just behind in fourth with a net 67.
In the gross division, Paul McMahon claimed top honors with a solid score of 72, followed by Yezen Kannan in second place.
The event also featured prizes for the best nine-hole performances. Suresh Shewakramani took the best front nine with a score of 31, while Henry Ungerer won the back nine with an impressive 30.
Thanks to the support of Fursa Consulting, a wide array of prizes was up for grabs, keeping spirits high and competition intense. Even those who didn’t place in the standings had a chance to win through a blind scorecard draw, with three lucky participants walking away with vouchers.
The prize presentation was led by Mr. Abdul Moiz Khan, CEO and Managing Partner of Fursa Consulting, Mr. Adnan Farooq, Managing Partner, and Club Captain Shaheen Butt. In a welcome announcement, Mr. Khan confirmed that Fursa Consulting will continue sponsoring the event in the years to come—news that was met with enthusiastic applause from players and spectators alike.
